I'm (finally) getting my ps2 next saturday. I'm gonna get a $100 used one at the eb game + a renewable warranty $10/6 months. I don't really care wich one I get as long as it is a version 6+. But I was wondering if there was less loading time with the slimeline in both burned and original games (I'll be using TYGO2 @4x btw)

having had both, ive never noticed a difference.

only differences are it's smaller, has an IR receiver for the remote and the network adpater is built in as opposed to attaching one to the rear like with the fat ps2. you also can't attatch a HD to the slim.

oh and if you put a chip in a slim you usually have to install 'summone subzero laser fix' to stop your laser burning out.
