lol it exists solely for the purpose of not allowing the tiff exploit :P its not a upgrade, its sony trying to fill the gaps they should have considered when they released this system :P

I bet if we try the libtiff exploit on 2.81 it doesnt work. i bet thats the only difference.

i read that 2.81 lets u use memory over over 4 gb some upgrade eh :)) and the 2.80 decryper works on it so lets hope we will be emulating 2.81 soon !

jared explained it to you, it just means we can get ahold, of the 2.80 firmware, which just like 2.71 we can load it in devhook

ya,theres a fresh batch of cames coming out on the 12th,like nhl 07 and starwares, so hopefully the 2.8 gets emulated cause im sure 2.81 is not required as a update on the game

this new filmwire doesn't do much
the 2.8 decrycpter works on it so if you want to get a 6 or 8 gig mem stick u mine as well up grade
or just stick with 4gig

perhaps a dev could write summin to the flash allowing memory sticks larger than 4gb, although i doubt it wud be tht simple :(

there wasnt a restriction it just dint support larger cards, sounds sorta the same, bt sony dint go out of there way to restrict it if you know what i mean, if you put a card in there it just wouldent have been regonised

yeah i get where your coming from, is annoying :( but i suppose at the time they were designing the psp they may not have been any 8gb plus cards, and tht wud be the logical explanation as to why it isn't supported! :( and perhaps sony dint update this until now to lure unsuspecting noob's to update :(
