I have been screwed for the last time by these people.I had three orders that had damaged jewel cases in them and it wasn't just one or two it was more like 15 broken in each order and a lot of the ones that weren't broken had fingerprints all over them. But i let that slide and made another order that arrived in perfect shape so I figured maybe i'd continue to do business with them.So i ordered 100 dvd cases and 100 taiyo yuden cdr's and 100 clear jewel cases.I got the order but only got 50 jewel cases which were loosely stuffed in arond the box of dvd cases which were packed in a larger box.So I called the customer service dept and they said they would start a claim. Then i emailed them and they said they would credit me 11$ for the 50 jewel cases. But I already paid for 100 and shipping I told them I don't want to be held hostage to having to make another order just to get something i've already paid for and paid shipping on.A nd they wont even answer my emails now and so i've been left with no choice but to warn people about how horrible their customer service is and maybe even give the better business bureau a call. The owner or manager or whoever he is by the name of curtis wont even give me the courtesy of giving me a reason why they are making it so hard for me to get what i've already paid for.It was their fault that the order wasn't packed right and it shouldn't be a big deal to just send me the rest of my items. But evidently they wish to treat their customers like shit and i'm never ordering a damn thing from them again and neither should anyone else if they're smart.

It was more than likely the shipping company itself.
Expecially if the same person delivered the two damaged ones.
I have ordered from them with no problem.
Never empty jewel cases though as I could see how easy the can
be to damage.
But there is a chance it shipped from them unbroken.
I have seen drivers for these shipping companies
purposly drop and throw items.
Sorry to hear of your troubles.
Good luck

Never had problems either, and all my orders have been well-packed to avoid damage.
-Do you believe you own your computer and shouldn't be told what you can run and do? Then say *NO* to Microsoft Vista!
-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.

i ordered from them ..UPS is my problem though..1 of my orders from supermedia was shipped to a dry cleaning company by UPS..then they gave my order to a company behind them. My next order was completly lost by UPS i mean they scanned it and after that .....nothing so i called supermedia and they had to put a trace out on it...so i told them i would not order from them anymore..I shop with allmediaoutlet now because they only use Fed-Ex to ship their stuff...good luck to people who gamble with UPS..

The thing that really pisses me off though is the fact that they wont give me the 50 clear jewel cases that were missing from my order of 100.Now they refuse to even answer my emails. Are they really that cheap to dispute 10$ worth of friggin jewel cases. They have treated me like shit and i'm going to post in every damn forum i can find and let people know how they treat their customers and i'm going to contact the better business bureau and get a bad mark on their record. Its just the principle of it that pisses me off not the 10$ they ripped me off for.I hope their business goes under the cheap bastards.

I can't possibly count the times I ordered from Supermediastore.com..... and never had one problem with them, FedX, or UPS! I also order from Meritline.com and even when I had a problem with my new external DVD burner they were nice, curteous and explained everything... even though it took forever .......I am completely satisfied with the both of them. If they don't even respond to your emails anymore I would ask myself why? Usually they bend over backwards to please a customer. I'm sorry you had this problem .....

what am i supposed to ask myself? Why was i so polite with them when requesting that they send me the rest of the items that they forgot to put in my order and sent several emails being as polite as the first time?I know why they wont answer my emails because they refuse to give me what i paid for and i keep asking for the rest of my order and now rather than simply explaining to me why they wont give me what i've already paid for and paid the shipping on they now choose to just ignore me.I already know they are supposed to be a reputable company and they do have good prices but its baffling to me as well why they wont just send me the rest of my order. And this mistake was theirs not the shipping company's they are the ones that pack the items to be shipped and for some reason someone couldn't count to 100.And also the 100 jewel cases should have come in their own box but they weren't they were loosely stuffed around a box of 100 dvd cases that was packed in a larger box.So i ask myself why is this supposed reputable company ripping me off when i have been a good customer.Wait I know "They're cheap bastards!!!".

and I can tell from your frustration and negativity that you want us to believe that the way you talked to them was POLITE, CURTIOUS, AND WELL MANNORED!?~ hmmmmmm much hostility and I suspect that if I can tell just from reading your replies that you are very angry and upset and saying Quote: "They're cheap bastards!!!".
I'm sure they can tell, too! I'm sorry you're having trouble with them...... I never had trouble with them ........ and the proof is in the pudding! And you want us to believe that they are in the business to RIPP PEOPLE OFF? Quote: I know why they wont answer my emails because they refuse to give me what i paid for
yeah sure... they are in buisness just to piss you off! come on....... a mistake happened..... and they won't send the rest because of something that you refuse to accept. Usually, they bend over backwards to please a customer! I can't imagine why they won't for you, other than how you might have treated them! As I stated above...... I bought a brand new external DVD drive ....... I had trouble with it.... sent it back to them...... they did extensive tests on it and found nothing wrong with it.... they sent it back to me and I found it was the Firewire that was the culpret.... they were curtious, nice, and answered my questions and made sure everything was working before I got it back! It's all in the way you speak to people. I'm sorry you have this trouble with them.

i don't care if you believe me or not really but i'm smarter than that.I made sure that i was polite because really they have the upper hand don't they. They offered to credit me 10$ but why should i have to order something else to get what i've already paid for and paid shipping on?Why is it a problem for them to send me my stuff.Maybe they don't want to have to pay shipping like i did?I don't want to be held to having to spend more money to get what i already paid for.A company that had any class wouldn't even dispute something so small and after all it was nobody's fault but theirs that the items weren't placed in the box with the other 50 jewel cases. So why can't they take the responsibilty for it and send me my stuff.I'm thinking that they believe i'm trying to get over on them because of all the broken jewel cases they sent me previous to this when i explained to them(politely)that i let that go because it was probably the fault of U.P.S. that they were broken. And say i did get pissed off at them in an email (which i didn't)I think I would have every right to do so after emailing them 3-4 times asking for an explanation of why they couldn't send my stuff and getting ignored.I'm done with them and it sucks that i can't continue business with them but after 3-4 times of having troubles with orders it ceases to be a rare occurence and starts to look like consistent bad business on their part.So i'm glad for you that you never had problems with them but maybe it would have been different if the item you ordered wasn't even in the box.

Thanks movies27 I was going to ask if anyone had a suggestion of a different company to order from.I'll try the one you suggested and just stay away from sms.com for good. For one thing they use U.P.S. for shipping and i've heard so many complaints about ups damaging goods that it would be better to just not order from anyone that uses them. This has been a learning experience and what i've learned is "SUPERMEDIASTORE.COM SUCKS!!!!".So thanks for being of help instead of being a smartass like imahoe or whatever his/her name is.

While I am not willing to say supermediastore sucks, I am disappointed with the way they handled my order. I ordered a 50 pack of TY shiny silver DVD+R and everything looked good to begin with and I was tracking my order on it's journey to me by UPS. Well the day it was supposed to arrive it didn't and when I tracked it on ups it said left on front porch. I said ok let me go get them then, but when I checked the porch it wasn't there. Ok no big deal I just call Supermediastore and ups and they say they will investigate it. OK all is good still as supermedia store says they will resend them in 7 days once they are refunded from ups for the lost package. Ok now a month goes by and no discs. Uh oh I say and email supermediastore and ask them where my discs are that should have been here by now.
They reply back: Thanks for your inquiry. Sorry to hear you had trouble. We actually refunded your credit card on 5/23. credited cst $30.08 5/23
We were worried about possible similar delivery problems if we resent the package
While I did get credited back I was never notified and just kept waiting expecting the discs to arrive. And the last sentence in their reply email to me is what bugged me. (We were worried about possible similar delivery problems if we resent the package) That makes it sound kind of like they think I did something shady or something like I did actually receive them and claimed not to when I am more than happy to pay for them at such a good price. I know our regular UPS delivery guy and talked to him and said that that day he was off and a replacement guy filled in. So I don't know what porch it was left on because I was home when the delivery was said to be made.
Anyway I don't feel SMS handled it correctly and should have either resent the discs or let me know that they credited my account and wouldn't resend them or that I would have to re-order or something. Oh well there are other places to order from so I am not to worried about it.

Oops I forgot to include the email I sent to Supermediastore asking them where my order was after a month of waiting. I though including in my e-mail that I am a member of this forum and another would help in some way lol.
To: Help@supermediastore.com
Subject: A month later and still not received my order
I ordered from you on 4/26/06 and have yet to receive my order! The original order was shipped and supposedly left on my front porch, but it was never delivered here as I was home during the time it was said to be left there by ups. Then I was told ups would look into it and then after 7 days you would file a claim and resend my order, but I am still waiting and haven't received anything. This is really taking an extraordinary amount of time and no one from supermediastore has contacted recently to let me know what is going on. I ordered from you because I like using quality brand DVD+R, Taiyo Yuden in particular, and all the people at the forums I am a member on like cdfreaks.com and afterdawn.com recommended you to me. Now I have gone out and scoured the local stores to get my media and look through their inventory to find some sony's made in japan that are actually made by Taiyo Yuden. I ordered from you in the first place so that it would be delivered to me at a reasonable price and not have to scour the stores to find the good stuff. Please let me know what is going on with my order.
That is when they replied with this:
Thanks for your inquiry. Sorry to hear you had trouble. We actually refunded your credit card on 5/23. credited cst $30.08 5/23
We were worried about possible similar delivery problems if we resent the package

I haven't recieved half of an order of 100 clear cd cases from them and it has been over 2 months or more since I first ordered it from them. And this is like the 3rd time I had problems with these people.First it was broken jewel cases (twice) then they just forgot to put 50 of my 100 jewel cases in the box when they were packing my order. Now how the hell does someone screw up and only pack 50 when it says right on the order form 100 pulled! And why if they are such a reputable company couldn't they just send me the other 50 cases, are they worried about 10$ worth of cd cases making them go broke?Thats why I started this thread because SUPERMEDIASTORE.COM SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!! AND YOU WILL START TO SEE MORE AND MORE PEOLPE SHOW UP IN THIS THREAD WITH MORE COMPLAINTS JUST YOU WATCH!!!

I love supermediastore.com Great prices! Fast Delivery (I got my orders in 2 days with UPS Ground Shipping) Even great packaging. I know ur tired of hearing this but, I'm sorry u had problems with them as well. I've had 100% error-free orders/shipments from them.
I would probably feel the same as you if I were in your shoes, though.
Meritline.com is also a great company to order from ESPECIALLY if you need ink for your Epson R200 or R300!!

I have been using Supermedia for a long time now and have not had any problems with them. I purchased two Benq burners a while ago and one of them was a piece of crap. It couldn't provide a good burn no matter what. Used Ty's and Verbs only and not one good burn. The other burner worked fine. Sent the bad one back as they had somebody check it out and then emailed me that they would take it back and I had no problem shipping it back to them for credit if I wanted or a refund. Don't know why your having such a problem with them. I must say, though, judging by the responses here that it doesn't appear many share your bad business dealings with them.

I do work for a shipping company and they are handled many time after they leave the place you ordered them from. Accidents do happen (no excuses), but I would bet it did happen after it left their (SuperMedia)place. I have had over 1,000 jewel cases delivered to me and have had 4 broken. I guess I'm just lucky.
