I am running 2.60 and have tried to use the s9xTYL-0.4.2 snes emulator. I have found on the net that I should be using the files in the "1.0" directory after extracting the .rar file. When I copy this file to my memory card in path PSP/Game and try to run it from my PSP I get a "The data is corrupt" error. I have tried formating my memory card, restarting my PSP and hitting my console:) but none of this has helped. The emulator states that it does run on 2.60 but I am starting to wonder. Can anyone please help me as I can't find a post where someone is having the same difficulties. Thanks for your helpin advance! Craig

the reason it dose that is because 2.6 wont let you run hombrew you will need to have a 1.5 all the way to 2.0 or you may use a unpatched copy of gta and run it via eloader http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/300895 - eloader guide
but my advice is check if you have a TA-082 mother board and if not downgrade to 1.5 that way you can unlocked your psp http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/369035 - this will show you how to tell if u have a TA-082
if its not a TA-082 then use the easy downgrader it dose every thing for you all you need is a copy of gta

and if you dont have gta well just pm i dont wanna type all day lol

devhook is a firmware emulator and doubles as an iso loader. an iso is a game backup. with the firmware emulator part of it u get to have the best of both worlds. 1.5 homebrew capabilities and then u get the newer game playing of 2.71.

Cool thanks Hex. I understand that it must get annoying answering the same questions over and over but it's that as a noob it's quite difficult to figure out which is the best way of doing stuff as there seems to be quite a few different ways to downgrade etc. The reply's that I have got from this post have been really clear and friendly! Banish me to the land of the banned. Nah please dont :). Thats 4-5 times total now Ive done that in the almost 3000 posts I have. I have been here Ive been hanging out at nite mostly tho. Me and my gf's 2 year anniversary just passed so Ive been busy with that.

ahh thanx for the props i always am happy and appreciative to hear things like that. but we cant forget you also, you def. help alot here too :) I dont use the term n00b it's to condescending to me. I will use the term if the situation calls for it, but havent done it much here. Boy, if you see me on counterstrike source, thats all I call people is noobs tho.

You will LOVE devhook. It is without a doubt my favorite piece of homebrew. Not just because its a game loader but because of the firmware emulation. That is without a doubt my favorite part of it.

that's the only reason i stoped using UMD Emulator v.08c was because of the firmware emulation of devhook....
favorite pieces of homebrew.

sorry i could'nt answer i had to go buy uniform for school with my mom i hate uniform:( but any way irshell is a app that lets you do almost any thing like listen to music while you surf the web or look at pic's it even has ir comander wich alow's you to control your tv or even rc care with your psp it's one of the best app's next to devhook
