DVD/CDRW drive not compatible with Nero

Hello,

I have bought a new laptop which has the following DVD/CDRW drive make and model:
Matshita UJDA 770

This burns CDs, and reads DVDs.

My old computer was installed with Nero Burning ROM version 5.0.3.9. The installation CD came with the CDRW drive. I've installed this version of Nero to my new computer, but it does not recognise the Matshita model referred to above. I realise my version of Nero is pretty old - is there a way to solve this problem by somehow getting Nero to recognise the DVD/CDRW drive and to burn CDs?

(I haven't seen any other CD-burning software on the new laptop - it's probably there, somewhere, maybe waiting to be installed, but at the moment I'd like to get my Nero software working, if possible, because it contains saved NRI files.)
