Internet, Games, Music Etc....My Comp Locks Up And I Cant Click Anything,Now WHen I Alt-Delete, Its At Diffrent Numbers Rangeing From, 30%, 60%, 80%, But Once I Do The Alt-Delete It Goes Back Down 2 0% And the Comp Works Fine...But It May Get Stuck Agian During My Time On The Comp.....Now Funny Thing Is That I Had ANother COmp I Built ANd I HAd the Same Problem....SO All I Did Was Buy A New Mobo, CPU, Memory...I Keep The HArd Drive And DVd Drives. If you have loaded the same set of programs used on the last setup, you could have just transferred the same set of issues to the new system.
I would firstly download the following:
Adaware.
Rootkit revealer.
AVG free.
Zonelabs firewall free.
Tuneup Utilities trial.

Load them all up, get any updates, then block any internet traffic to and from the PC and then clean any spyware.
Check for rootkits that spyware cleaners can't find.
Check for latest viruses.
Ensure no strange programs are asking for system access via pop ups on ZA.
Then run tuneup utilities, and clean registry, clean hdd and the defrag hdd and then try the system again.

Check if its the CPU
Open your case and put your hand around the cpu area if it gets really really hot then its your cpu and you might need it to get replaced.
Another option is to get Sisoft Sandra Lite and test it to see if you got any burned out components or if anything might be incorrectly set.

im taking a wild guess on this..........

click start>run>msconfig.

go to the services tab and click the HIDE ALL MICROSOFT SERVICES box

now click desable all services

now go to the startup tab an click disable all now click ok

it is going to ask you to restart the computer. select yes.

see if the clicking has stoped after a few reatarts

check back to post your results.

I have a better idea. Go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to Limewire, then click on unintall. Once it goes through its paces, reboot, run your virus scan, and when it is done, defrag your hard drive.

Your computers are fine, unless you have a cheap, underpowered PSU. I suspect in this case, it is more of a matter of PEBCAK.

Well I Did The Configuration, Now WHat DO I Do The Sysytem Cofiguration Came On When I rebooted But It Fix The Problem, But Its Going Back And Forth, On Some Start Ups I Can Click On The Start Button And Go About My Buisness And Everthing Works Fine And Limewire Works. But When It Starts Up ANd I Have 2 Alt-Delete 2 Click On Start, Then I Cant Move Files Around Or I Cant Use Drag Feature, And Limewire Wont Work And My Comp Goes Every Once Inawhile Will Get Stuck And My CPU Would Be AT 100% And Then Drop Down 2 0% When I Alt-Delete...I Have No Viruses I Checked them I Have Virus Scan And Tune -up Ultilies For Registry And Nothing Seems 2 Help...My CPU Is At 38c - 51c...

i dont think its a hardware problem it sounds like what happened to me a while back. its java runtime and limewire, next time it works when you boot up get rid of both of them, uninstall limewire then java rt, and find another way to download stuff there are ways other than p2p ;)

if it was overheating it would just shut down, not max out the cpu.

What kind of PSU do you have?

Just (maybe) might be a super crap PSU... You could listen to sammorris talk about a 600W he had that couldn't even push 250W. Invest in a 500W Enermax Liberty or a 580W Hiper R-Type and see if that solves your problems.

I've never had problems with Java and Limewire though... Do a google for a program called EnditAll. It's supposed to be pay but some sites carry an older version for free. Just mark what programs you want protected and let it rip. I run it every time I start my PC. It does wonders.
