instead of upgrading, i would suggest that you downgrade and use devhook because devhook can emulate the 2.xx firmwares except 2.8.

question 1. Why you want to do that?

but, goto psp-hacks.com find the eboot upgrade to 2.6 and download the correct one for your 'region'

or use a firmware 2.6 requiring umd.

don't use the network upgrade feature on the psp as it will upgrade you to 2.81

psp hacks only has a US update for 2.6 so if you have an imported psp it wont work.

well im new...and my psp wuz a 2.6 but then i downgraded it to a 1.5 to play some emulator games but i didnt kno how so i downgraded it bak to 2.0 with gta: lcs...wut iz the best thing i should do??..

yes. devhook is basically a firmware loader. so you can use it to play newer games by emulating the 2.71 firmware. it doesnt have 2.8 support yet
