i burned my ps2 back up games using Verbatim at the speed of 2X with 16X disc. My burner is 4X max. Is it good to stay at that speed with 16X disc?

Do you prefer 4X, 8X, or 16X DVDs? DVD+R or DVD-R?

some of my games are having a slow loading time now. i know really know what the problem is.

and i am thinking about buying Taiyo Tuden instead of Verbatim this time. Which one should i pick?

My burner max is at 4X so do you think i should pick 4X DVD-R or 8X DVD-R??

FYI: i use Taiyo Yuden 8X DVD-R Media Silver Thermal Lacquer. taiyo yuden is grade A top of the line dvds You can get these at http://www.supermediastore.com they also come in a 50 pack. for buring speeds its best to use half of what the dvd speed is for example if you buy a pack of taiyo yuden 8x its best to burn half of what the disc speed is so half of 8x is 4x so if you buy 8x dvds burn them at 4x. i have been doing that and so far no problems plus i like DVD-R better then DVD+R thats just my opinion. if you plan on using low quality dvds it puts more stress on the laser of the ps2 and could eventually cause it to burn out.
