The best is probably the Hori screen protector.
A few places like DecalGirl.com sell them.

i think screen protectors are a waste of money. because the ds is always closed and cant be scratched when closed. and can only be scratched if you scratch it really hard while playing a game.

i think they would help limit the scratches when using the stylus to play the games. i had my old ds for about 6 months, and it was quite scratched up.

I personally prefer the Hori Filters. They are available pretty much everywhere too now. I got mine from some seller on Amazon.com and they work very well. They come with a cleaning cloth too. I tried the other filters that came with my case, but they were junk. The Hori filters are the only ones I will buy from now on. I would also recommend them over not having screens just to protect your investment, but that's just my opinion

Question about the Hori filters - where is the adhesive on it? Is it in just the corners, or all over? Also, does dust get underneath it?

I actually do not believe that it has an adhesive, i believe it works on that it gets airtight and it holds against the screen. I have had it since I had my ds, a couple weeks, and so far no dust underneath, however it even says that if you do get dust under there, use tape to pull up on a corner of the protector, then dab the dust with tape, to remove it, then reapply. Also these can also be purchased in stores othr than online, like our local rhino video games carry the hori protectors.

well from what I hear the hori ones are teh best there are, clearest to see through, most durable, etc. Also, they are the only ones officially licensed by nintendo, and up until recently werent even available at stores other than online import stores.

"i think screen protectors are a waste of money. because the ds is always closed and cant be scratched when closed. and can only be scratched if you scratch it really hard while playing a game."
When I first got my DS lite, after about a week, there was a scratch on the touch screen (most likely because I was taking it out to bars and letting my friends play with it), don't know how it happened exactly, but it sucked. I was able to take it back to the store and told them that it was loading games and they let me exchange it. Afterwards I bought hori screen protectors for less than 10 bucks at decalgirl and couldn't be more happy that my screen is scratch proof.
I thought that it would never happen to me, that I'd protect the screen and never let it get scratched, that I'd always be careful, but it happened. Protect your screens, or be full of regret when it does happen.

Well, I dont know what htey have in vancouver, but if they have anything such as a rhino video game store, or for that matter any video game store, you might wanna try there.
In florida, they have them, and they are like 6.99 before tax for the ones for the ds lite. The rhino's have the ones for the regular DS on clearance for like 5.50 right now.

not entirely sure. but MSRP on the ones I just picked up from the local store is $6.99, so I would go with this one: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-b7-49-en-70-196x.html
But.. looking at the title.. mine is: Hori Protective Filter for DS Lite (2 included w/ cleaning cloth) which I picked up fo r$6.99 brand new locally. May want to check out some other sites man.. normally when its confusing I start looking for other sites. Decalgirl.com would be your best bet if you're in the US or Canada
