hi going to be building a new system at the end of the month and need to know which would be best out of a BFG 3DFuzion GeForce 7600 GT 256MB or a EVGA GeForce 7600 GS 512MB DDR2

Is it better to go with the GT with alot faster core and memory speeeds or to go with the GS with slower core and memory speeds but having 512mb ram to the 256mb ram of the GT

Thanks for any replies Danny

Again, with the x1900.

"If you're a real man, you'll get http://www.nvidia.com/page/quadroplex.html <=-- two of those."

also, go for the fanless gigabyte 7600GT. (if you have the space)

Yeah. That'll look cool. But the Quadro FX series isn't meant for gaming. So they will perform awesomely in GPU benchmarks and 3DMark and stuff, but they will pale in any actual gaming for what they cost. They'll only perform a bit above a 7900GTX.

That is basically just a stylish housing for 3D development cards so you can use eight monitors. Cool if you got the $2000 a peice for each SLI setup. You can then use them for quad SLI but then we're pushing $4000 for just the video cards when you could make an entire similarly performing quad SLI setup with four 7900GTX for $2500. That's including the rest of the PC with a really nice monitor.

*smiles* I know. I was making fun of people who feel that spending money on the wrong things gets them extra performance.

Also, there is an $18k version.

Yeah, I've seen friends get quad SLI setups... 6600GT though. Four cards and he only got close to 7900GTX SLI. He spent an unbelievable amount of money on it.
