Why can't I defragment some ps2 files?

Some of my backups can't be defragmented on my hard drive,how come?
there's always half of my HD that's fragmented with ps2 backups and they remain red when fragmanetation is finished. what can i do to totally defragment the hard disk? i've never had this problem before,the files definintely aren't in use.

Then don't double-post/bump again, and wait for someone to answer!

As for your 'problem'. There's no particular reason why it does this, it just does. Probably because they've been sitting there a while.
How do you fix it? Delete the PS2 files, then defrag. Dunno why you'd want to keep them on your HD anyway once you've burnt them to disc.
