i might try that i have some songs that are way to low who eva uploaded them must have swabed thier ears 5 times a day or had some big ol ear's

I always wondered that: Why some mp3s are louder than others. I think it has to do w/ bitrate, but I'm not sure.

The bigger the file the bigger the bitrate :P

Very often used when speaking of video or audio quality -- defines how much physical space one second of audio or video takes in bits (note: not in bytes). For example: 3 minutes of MP3 audio in 128kbit/sec CBR bitrate takes 2.81 megabytes of physical space (1,024 x 128 / 1,024 / 1,024 x 180 / 8).

What I do to acheive louder sound when I'm at home is I use my computer's sound system. 4.1 Surround Sound...sounds pretty good hooked to the psp.

and yeah its not good ebought to just raise the valume you still have to balance the sound dont want to much bass or hiss that ruins the track bad
