1.the internet webbrowser you have to purchase in order to surf the internet funny thing the web browser is the free Opera web browser so why on nintendo's wii do we have to pay for a free web browser
2. you must own the nintendo wii classic controller in order to play n64 snes nes titles they will not play with the remote
Many reliable sources have said that the Opera Browser will be free for the first six months. After that, yes, you are paying them for the service of porting a very useful and stable browser onto nintendo's system, in a way that will work on yur television, and very probably be able to use your wiimote. Quite frankly, I am sure it will not be expensive, and would be a decent investment.
As for needing the controller. Would you really want to play a Nintendo 64 game with the wiimote? I love the new controller as much as the next pre-order customer; but let's be honest, I wouldn't want it on Nintendo 64 games, they're not made for it, and it wouldn't work well. More so for older systems. It would be... Weird. Although, they have mentioned that TG16 games will be able to use the Wiimote(Less buttons needed) and I *think* they mentioned that the sega games might not either.
Considering how cheap the system is, I'm okay with a couple extra bucks for features that not everybody needs/wants/can use, aka a web browser, or a controller that is suitable for older games. I suspect a majority of gamers may not be online, or have any use for a controller for the downloaded games, so I'm okay with it, because the system costs less.
Also, to be noted; there are strong rumors from some of the trade shows, that the wiimote will work as a Skype phone of sorts. Just a little added bonus I guess.
will there be a monthy fee for the Opera browser, or just a "buy once" thing? I wouldn't be asking, but I read somewhere that you buy it once with wii points...
Well, it would be a one time fee; but strong rumor has it that you can download it free in the first six months. So no, no monthly fee, that'd be a rip.
