i have an AVI file which has no audio problems but when i convert it to dvd using vso divx2dvd after about 20 minutes it goes out of sync quite alot please can anybody help tia
Codecs shouldn't make any difference since divx2dvd would be using libavcodec/format for input. DivX2dvd was replaced by ConvertXtoDVD some time ago now though right?
Check the framerate on your original file, if it's 24 fps or similar this will cause a sync issue which worsens over time. DVD standard is 29.97 fps, and encoders can convert the framerate for video, but there isn't a "framerate" for audio. what you need to do is encode the audio and video in seperate streams, then check the file length, if both are the same, then that should fix your problem.
