You need a wireless router in your home in order to find a wifi signal. Theyre about 50 bux. Something like the linksys wrt54g is a good product. There is also places that provide free wifi access such as most malls, starbucks, and some gas stations.

Well first off we need to check and see if you have a ta-082 motherboard. Since your firmware version is an earlier one I doubt it is but its good to check anyhow.
http://www.modchipstore.com/support/inde...kbarticleid=164
Use that page to check and see if it is a ta-082. If not then proceed.
1.) Download the 2.71 update eboot found here - http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/525
2.) Create a folder named UPDATE inside of the PSP folder. PSP folder is located in the root of your memorystick. Stick the update in the folder entitled UPDATE
3.) Run the update, After it finishes updating your psp. Download this downgrader. http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/755
If the downgrade doesnt work the first few tries dont be discouraged. The devs stated that the exploit executes fully about 1 in 10 tries. You'll know when it executes because the screen will turn red and you will see your memory stick light flashing. Also the easy downgrader copies all the files to your memory stick for you, and it also walks you thru the process on-screen on your pc.

Go to game on your psp then go to the bottom of the list where it says memory stick. Hit "X" and you should see the update eboot icon show up.
