how do i burn subtitles from VLC player

when i played this movie on my data player, it works but theres no subtitles. the only way i can get subtitles is by playing it on VLC. theres no .sub or .str file. only .vob, .ifo and .bup. so how do i burn this movie to have working subtitles on my data player?


btw..i tired searching and nothing came up or it did and i didnt understand it. if this has been posted please leave a link to the previous post.

You have dvd-files so you need to burn them to dvd:

ive done what you've said and it still wont get the subtitles. the movie have 5 meuns and only 3 is accessable. im assumming that the 4th is language(with subtitles) and 5th is extra features. so i guess the person who ripped this movie left it out to save some room. what do you think?

In this point you should download subtitles from internet and use DVDAuthorGUI to add them into your dvd-file.

To tell you the truth, this is a downloaded file. it has every compenents like a dvd(VOB, srt, etc..)

im just wondering how does vlc player get subtitles? do they get it from the data of the movie or do they have their own translation?

I figured it was a downloaded file, what format are your files in though, you mentioned srt, that is a subtitle file..
