GIMPShop
both can do it. both are serious competition to PS. both are free.

Yeah, The Gimp is a v good program that does indeed rival PS.
I use it in conjuction with CS2.

PS is a professional-level program. therefore, you pay a professional-level price for a license to the software. advising piracy is not the best idea. :(

Photoshop is worth every penny you pay for it, here is how to get it for free, you all listening? No piracy involved. Get a job as a graphic artist/designer, your boss/company will give you one of their licenses and disks to take it home so that you can install it on your own computer and do your work from home. There, problem solved, one legitimate copy of Photoshop CS2 and Illustrator CS2, just be willing to give up nights and weekends when a project is due.
(Or just pay the money for it.)

i was wondering if people would think it would be cool if i created a site to post photoshop pictures that you ahve made and tuturials...i just though i would ask and see if people were interested in it...if you are could you give me some names that i could call it...so far i have thought of like 4 they are : hey CEAREL do you know of a good name for a photoshop site...designedinphotoshop.com, photoshopics.com, photoshopart.com, designedincs2...tell me what you think of this
