HELP TO Find 2.71 FIRMWARE (UK) UPDATER???

Hi,

I have a UK version psp running 2.6 firmware. I dont have GTA so i would like to update to 2.71 and then use the downgrader.

Problem is I can find a UK 2.71 updater I looked at psp-hacks and it has 2 files for 2.71 one is a US version and the other is for Jap. There is a 2.80 for UK but this is no good of course!!

Please can anybody confirm 100% that one of the above is correct for a UK also or confirm how else I would go by upgrading a UK psp to 1.71.

I really dont want to use an upgrader that im not 100% sure its for a uk psp and risk bricking it

You won't brick your UK PSP by using, say, a US 2.71 upgrade EBOOT. I upgraded my US PSP (a long time ago) from 1.50 to 2.00 with the Japanese upgrade EBOOT; it worked just fine.

Go ahead and do what you must. The buttons should stay the same too. (using O as select for your options.)

idono, i think that was made for us psps, but if you make a acount at bitsoup.com then download utorrent from utorrrent.com then go back to bistsoup, under categories clikc psp, then find the full 2.71 downgrader, then download it, then drag it to utorrent, then it should take ilke 5 min. to download, it contains .downdater file, and a 2.71 updater file in a folder called 271!p.s. it also contains a really helpful and easy to use .txt file, that tells you what to do w/ all these files, another p.s. the .downdater file is the file you get from a nother friends 1.5 psp, so it contains everything you need, yourwelcome
