I have:

Amd 64 3400+
2.40ghz
2.00 gb ram

graphics card ati radeon 9800 which is old and i am going to purchase a new one which card is the best at present no other brand only ati under £50 what does interface mean

PS Do the grapics cards have to be compatible with the computer and if it does what/how

in this case, it means how the graphics card connects to the rest of the computer, gfx cards do this through a PCI slot, an AGP slot or a PCI-E slot. I beleive the radeon 9800 you have now is only made for agp, i.e. a new graphics card would need to be an agp card too.

i'll have a quick scout around for under £50 gfx cards, but i have to ask, why not nvidia?

i dont want to have nvidia coz ati are better my opinion and my computer came with one they also have a better vareity and i can spend up to 100 have a look at these

i'd go £6 over budget and get an ATI Radeon X1650 Pro
