Why cant i play my UMD

I cant seem to play my UMD game in my 1.5
It always promts saying "To start, Please update system software"
Can anyone help

its because the umd requires higher firmware download the devhook.46 ultimate installer from psp-hacks.com and use that

yeah mate download devhook ultiamte insatller http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/673 and install it and then start it up from games memory card and then go dev hook then umd select and just press 0 on umd disc! and you should be good to go! and give the guy a break! why be so rude?

Ye but why should i spoon feed him hes just being lazy. He aint even tried to find it on his own. If he had said i "tried finding but i couldn't Could you give me a link" I would have certainly helped him but he didnt even check psp-hacks first he just asked for a link straight away without even looking himself.
