I've already tried with Nero express (I know, shoot me, its not my PC) and CloneDVD to try and back up a DVD+R and it requires a DVD+R to make a copy. Is there any possible way to copy the DVD+R movie to a DVD-R disk?

Would appreciate any help... thanks

I do it all the time by just clicking disk copy in my Roxio software. I put the + in my dvd drive and put the - in my burner and click diskcopy. I don't use Nero but I would think this is included there also.

I was so ugly when I was a kid, my parents used to take me everywhere just so they wouldn't have to kiss me goodbye.

@BlazeEX....... maybe it's your drive that can't handle your -R disks. I would check to see if your drive needs a firmware update...... also, make sure you use good media! Read the lable and make sure you're using Made In Japan (MIJ) disks. Verbatim is also top notch but not made in Japan. Taiyo Yuden, Maxell, Sony----- MIJs! Usning good media stops many problems that can occur. good luck.

The problem is for me that it specifies a DVD+R disk, I've burnt DVD-R disks in the past already. When I copy a DVD-R it gives me a list of virtually every type of disk available (+,-,RW etc...)but when I copied the +R it requested just a DVD+R, thats it.

Use DVD Decrypter. Create an ISO image of the disc. Burn the ISO with Decrypter or Nero.

@Dolphin2 - thanks for your help. I'll give it a go and see how it turns out.
