sorry bud but thats a no
you're best bet would be to back up you're FF7 and play the game with a mod chip'd ps2

that or you can just play it on the PC with a psone emulator

Although the sticky says this is the wrong forum for these type questions I'll help you out regardless. Since you have swap magic I'll assume you can swaps discs without your PS2 knowing. If that's the case, then all you need is a retail PS1 disc to play PS1 back ups on a PS2. Here's what you do:

1. Copy the PS1 game (FF7 in this case) with Nero or what ever CD copying software you like.

2. Boot up a retail PS1 game

3. As soon as the PS1 slash screen starts, stop the disc by pressing the disc holder/spindle in the middle, essentially putting the "brakes" on it and swap the retail disc for your burned disc. You must apply the brake and swap discs quikckly or it won't work.

4. Wait for burned game to start up

There you go. It works. I know, because I did it today with Castlevania SoTH today on my slim PS2. I have a Breaker Pro disc for this, but I can't find it. I used WCW Nitro as my "boot" disc, because it's a crappy game and you can scratch your retail game pretty easily doing this if you aren't careful. It's a little harder to do this with the fat PS2 since it doesn't lock the disc in place, but it's still doable.

I reckon it would be cheaper/easier to just buyi it again, and play your new original copy on ps2.
Or you could find a cheap modded ps1 for like $20-$50.
Doing the swap method isnt really that good as you can easily scratch games, and maybe even damage the ps2 if not done right.

If your Walmart still has the game you better go buy them all and put them on ebay. That game always hits about $60. Here's the ony I sold.
