1) you will have to upgrade your PSP to 2.71 first get that form here :
http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/36
you can use the EU one or the US 1 it doesnt really matter....
then all you do is download that 2.71 downgrader from the link you put up....connect your PSP through USB Mode to your computer, and run the program and it does everything for you. (and yes have the AC charger in at all times)
2) devhook is for once you have downgraded to 1.50, it allows you to run all types of homebrew, just read some of the stickies and they will tell you eveything.

yes you need to use an AC Adaptor because if your PSP isn't charged enough or just can't hold a charge due to Battery Life Expectancy, the AC will provide you with constant power.
so yes AC is NEEDED :)
ahhhhh!!! cobras

but the USB provides the AC adaptor right? I mean i have this wierd cable thingo with tow heads, like,
One is the cable witch connects USB to PSP, and the other end that plugs into power and charges (Takes longer then when put in the wall socket)
But will this USB charger be suffiecient?

I have one of those. They are useless. They don't even charge. I thought i had bricked my PSP because of it. I had a low battery, plugged this USB/Power cable so i could transfer some homebrew. Plugged in both ends started to play Super mario and the screen went black. i thought it was bricked but it was only a flat battery. It scared me senseless. Don't risk a downgrade with it!
