I have a problem booting this game. I have both SwapMagic 3.6 and 3.8
When I load the game, it seem that is loading it, but after few seconds, the memory card screen appears with my two memory cards, but then the screen changes to red one "insert PS2 disc". I don't know what to do to load this game properly. My PSTWO is PAL and read all other CD games perfectly. The version of Tsugunai is USA and it is burned on a CD Verbatim at 8x speed. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Perhaps it requires you to use SM3.6/3.8's 'Special Boot' method to load?
If that doesn't work, then try it with CDLoader from swapmagicfix.com

I also tried Swap Magic Special Boot, and CDLoader lastest version with many different options, and no one lead me to run the game. But it's strange, I tried a thing, first swapmagic CD, then CDLoader and then I refreshed TOC with BreakerPro v1.1, and when I tried to load Tsugunai again, the memory card menu appeared, but this time with a CD plus the two memory cards. I click over the CD and it seems to load but then it appears again. I click over and over, but it seems that never loads it LOL. Maybe this game is copy protected or something?. I need help >_<. Thanks.

There is no PS2 game with copy protection, so that's unlikely.
Its more likely that the game is too big for Swap Magic to boot.
What size is the game?

No PS2 CD game is bigger than Breaker Pro, it has 99 min. Tsugunai is 615 MB TOC, and Swap Magic can load up to 630 MB. The problem is that when the game starts to boot, it does a neverending round with Breaker Pro. It's like the game would try to check if it is original or not a second time.
I changed the game from CD to DVD, and so pity this game doesn't work with it, so I have no more ideas on how to run it.

Isnt BreakerPro a PsOne boot disc though? Just done a Google search on it to confirm my thoughts & no retailer mentions that it's for PS2, only PsOne.
And if you're changing it from CD to DVD, then you have to change the media checks in the elf, system & iop files to DVD as well. Did you do that?

I got the same game, and when trying to load it, also appears on screen the image of memory card, and a disc.I chose the disc option, press the X button, and in a few moments a message is shown saying:
"No data".
Tried with modded ps2 and unmodded with swap magic, with more than one copy, and nothing.

Sure I did. I know how to change a game from CD or DVDRip to a normal DVD. But it just didn't work (not 100% of games do work of course).
So, seems that not only me having this problem. It can be two ways, we both downloaded same Tsugunai Atonement ISO, which is corrupted, or the game has some kind of check or special thing wich makes it non compatible to being copied. Anyways, I lead my thinking to the first option. I hope someday someone make a new ISO of this game with BIN CUE formats.

Hilarious. The iso wouldn't load if it weren't Mode2 2352. Other modes are rejected by Ps2. The iso starts to load, but then backs to the memory card menu. The iso is broken, there's nothing to change about. The only way is to make another iso from the original game which completely works.

whats Hilarious?
you come here asking for help, and thats what i tried to do,next time i wont bother.
its a known fact that iso images burnt onto cd's can encounter loading problems, and normally produce a non working game.
if you want to ignor what i am telling you, then thats fine, but refrain from the sarcastic comments please.

Then, I'm sorry. I didn't know you would feel that offended.
I tried already of changing sectors and modes as you say, but nothing worked. That why the ISO is 100% broken, I'm sure.
I'll try to find a person with it. Thanks for your help!

This happens when a game is burnt only with BIN files and no CUE files.
When this happens, the scrren that is shown is that with a memory card and a pic of a disc, and doesn´t matter how many times you click on the disc pic , it shows up over and over.
