I am looking for any information to convert a mpeg1 to avi. I have been ripping dvd's onto my hard drive and would like to convert them to a smaller file to be able to keep them on a cd-r until i get a dvd burner. If anyone has any information it would be helpful. Right now when i rip a dvd it comes out to a huge file that i cant fit onto any cd
r's. Thanks

With VirtualDub or Dr. Divx, in VirtualDub, open the mpeg file, and click video - full processing mode and click video - compression! choose a compression option!
