Is a eloader the same thing as a emulator?

So since I am using daedalus R8, is that all I needed to download. Or is there something else. Like a eloader or whatever the hell it could be.

well it depends on what version of firmware you have. 1.5 no. later then yes. eloader only works on firmwares up to 2.6 tho. Eloader is not an emulator either. It just loads homebrew for ya.

So I would only have to use an eloader if my psp's firmware is upgraded to a higher version?

pretty much yes. what version of firmware do you have currently. If you have 1.5 - Never upgrade. If youre not past 2.71 then i suggest downgrading.

I am not sure yet. I ordered it from Japan. So I sure as heck hope its not that high of one. It would be a dreadful day for me. But thanks alot for all the info. I don't feel so dumb anymore.

I do have another, and last question. If I get this one answered, I am sure I will figure out everything soon. When people talk about ISO's or whatever. What the heck does that mean? Or what is it?

You dont have to have iso files. When you take a UMD GAME and "rip" it the resulting file is an iso file. Like i said just a second ago its basically a backup of a certain game.

Well I dont emulate many consoles on my psp. When I do emulate anything on it its always the SNES and I like SnesPSP_TYL v.0.4.2

I will have to look into snes emulators. But for right now. All I care about is getting Zelda Ocarina of time on my PSP. Thank you for all the help and information you have given me. It has been alot of help for me.
