Hey guys...
Ok so these questions are probabley answered in the forums, but im pretty illeterate and sometimes i need things spelled out, hopefully you can help...
I currentley have a 2.6 f/w and i DO NOT have the TA-082 motherboard..
So i'd like to downgrade, ive heard there is a program which i can do that w/ and also countinue to use all my games/umd movies on my psp still once is downgraded.....which downgrader would i use....and if any one knows the links a P.M. helping me out would be great...

hello, i'm also a noob about this thing.. i also have a psp 2.6 and i wish to downgrade it to 1.5.. i kept on reading this forums for info and i followed the procedures but somehow i still couldn't nail the damn thing.. i have tried this 2.71 firmware update. i downloaded it, but i couldn't run/open it.. it was indicated in the instructions that just simply set ur psp to usb mode then run the program but still nothing happens except my windows keeps on asking me on what program would i want to choose to open the file.. sigh pls help me thanks...

For downgrading a 2.6, yes. For downgrading a 2.71, no.

the ic1003 you see signifies that you have a ta-082 motherboard. and you cannot downgrade a ta-082 motherboard at this point in time.

WOW YAY!!!! I did it!!! From 2.6 to 1.5 using the link above... no worry about chargeing took 30 secs! it rocks... ive waited for months!!!!! Yeah... I cannot thank you enough DIBZ for talking me into it!! yay! Go DIBZ!!!

witht eh 2.6 downgrader did you have the liberty city umd aswell? you did nit cuz i have soo many psps that are 26 but i upgrade them then downgrade init

well after doing alot of reading i've decided to uprgade to 2.7 and then i can downgrade to 1.5 and not need GTA---could anyone help me out w/ a link or a PM---thanks!!

i downloaded the 2.71 f/w upgrade, but when i tried to open it on my desktop it says that windows dosnt have the right program to open it or some crap.....i downloaded the 2.71 to 1.5 and thats fine but for now i have to get my psp upgraded to 2.71..
any suggestions?

thats fine, connect psp to comp and then go to PSP/GAME and then in there make a folder yourself called UPDATE in there put the 2.71 eboot ok! and then it should work

OK I CONNECTED MY PSP
SELECTED THE PSP FOLDER
THEN OPENED THE GAME FOLDER
CREATED THE UPDATE FOLDER
THEN I DRUG THE 2.71 UPGRADE I DOWNLOADED INTO THE UPDATE FOLDER, AND WHEN I TRY TO OPEN IT W/ MY PSP IT SAYS CORRUPTED DATA..
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
I ALSO JUST TRIED TO DOWNLOAD IT DIRECTLEY FROM PSP-HACKS INTO MY PSP STILL SAYS DATA CORRUPTED :-(

sorry can't help you out atlus seeing as i haven't tried the downgrader just yet, but where is the # that indicates the TA-082 motherboard the diagram on the downgrader wasn't clear and I don't want to start downgrading until I'm sure.

no you can't if you read the instructions on the downgrader. And yes you need GTA LCS if you intend to downgrade your psp, but only if you don't have the motherboard otherwise, just wait a while and someone might crack it.
