Im gonna build my own PC - however im gonna need windows on it - i have a computer with windows already installed, can i re use the windows CD that it came with - or can it only be installed on one computer?

Also i have a lot of soaftware such as adobe premiere and photoshop etc... will i have to re install them on the new harddrive - or can i just copy the files over?

Cheers

hello.

if the cd label windows xp you can use it if it is a brand machines like hp or compaq, dell etc that comes with pc brand it cd you can only use on that machine (like recover cd or restore cd).

about the programs if you gonna use you old harddrive as primary drive you can use your programs if you gonna install windows on a new hard drive you will need to install it again or you can make a image with norton ghost and loaded on your new hard drive i think but you need to do a lot of reading on that to be sure.
