I tried downloading the new update. Everything was fine until I wanted to install it. A message came up saying that Activex was preventing me from installing the program. WTF! I've never had this before. I have Windows XP if that helps. Any help would be great.
Seems quite a few people are having trouble installing this version. The major problem seems to be the interface being all over the place. The start button etc. are not where they are designed to be. Fengtao, the author, has given me an exe file to remedy this but it still doesn't work properly. It's the first of the 3x versions and I think there are some bugs still to be worked out. He'll get it eventually rest assured!

Just found this thread, because I was in the process of doing a backup and was asked the question - check for updates etc. - and found v3.0.1.2. I have been using v2.9.8.3 for a while.
Anyways I have downloaded and installed the latest version without any probs. and have used it, and am now running the file through VobBlanker.
I'll let you know how it goes if you are interested.
I had the exact same problems with the older version and Fengtao also sent me an .exe file to try that fixed somewhat but it still didn't function properly. I think within a couple of days he had 3.0.12 out and it works flawlessly. Did Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift without a glitch.
And this guy doles it out for FREE!
Note, "And this guy doles it out for FREE!" Magnificent Program.
Completed my successful back-up and I always run through VobBlanker, 'cause you never know. Did a back-up recently but dropped the wrong file in shrink and although it burnt it wouldn't play. Ran shrink again, being careful to pick up the correct file and all was right with the world again.
Interestingly, sometimes VobBlanker says all files OK but looking at the original file the size was 7,252,254,720 and after V/B the size was 7,252,242,432
The other thing that I do is to look at the files in DVDDecrypter and it usually tells you, e.g. possible structure protection etc.
