What is the best portable DVD player to play DVD-R in?

I am selling my XBox, but now I need a replacement portable DVD player to use on my televisions at home. It doesn't need to have a built-in screen, it simply needs to have DVD playback ability and, more importantly, be compatible with DVD-R. I know that some portable DVD players won't play any DVD-R and others will play almost all brands. Hopefully, someone on this forum will know a player that can play almost everything. Thanks in advance for the help.
