see i downloaded homebrew... games and apps then when i put them in my game folder it works and all. But there are massive gaps in the list of games on the mem card, just massive blank spots... that act as transparent game folders? how delete the gaps?

did you have a homebrew app hide the corrupt icons. if so thats why. its either corrupted icons or the blank spots. there is also sei psp tool ot rename the folders so the corrupted icons dont show but doesnt work with all apps.

dont delete them as they are the things that let the homebrew run i think....

Hi there, and welcome to the Homebrew world.
The answer to your question would be: Custom firmware.
Some custom firmwares have the option on them, to hide the so called 'blank programs'.

Some examples of the custom firmwares:
* Dark_Alex Custom firmware: Proof of concept
* Harleyg's Custom firmware

You can find both of them from http://dl.qj.net/
