Well, as I told you guys earlier, I would upgrade my DSL, which means that I would increase the speed of my DSL.

Before I upgraded my DSL, however, the maxium speed of uploading is 45k. Downloading is 180k. The speed of the Qwest advertised on the website is 1.5mb.

Right now, I have increased the speed. The speed is 3.0mb - 5.0mb, as advertised on the Qwest website. But I just got the damn same speed or connection when I try to download and upload stuff, and only the damn loading speed of the website is slightly faster. The maxium speed of downloading is the same as 1.5mb, which is 180k and the uploading speed is 45k. My question is why even though I have upgraded the speed up to 3 - 5mb. Besides, I know ADSL is a little faster. But what do you guys suggest? I need a better explanation.

Purpose of upgrading:
-Since 45k for uploading is kinda slow especially if I wanna upload stuff via megaupload or even use filezilla to upload stuff to CV, I upgraded it.

-I could download other stuff a little faster up to 250k as estimated or expected.

-I could download some damn animes from those Chinese websites and then upload them to CV via megaupload.

Result: Disappointing.

BTW, what is the difference among DSL, ADSL and Cable? Important question.

Kenryuakuma. Need help as always

DSL = Digital Subscriber Line
ADSL = Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line
SDSL = Synchronus Digital Subscriber Line

ADSL is a variation of DSL where the upload speeds and download speeds vary between each other. SDSL is a variation of DSL where the Upload speeds and Download speeds are the same!
On terms of peak performance, Cable has the advantage supposibly. Whereas DSL boasts a rough top speed of around 10Mbps, Cable boasts a great 30Mbps! So in term's or RAW speed, the vast majority believe that Cable has the advantage! But the number's suggest a Massive Differance. this isn't true, in terms of real world performance taking into account all the people online at specific times and all sorts of various factor's. Cable has a fraction of the advantage the number's suggest! The differance probably isn't even noticable,but that depends on your I.S.P to be honest!

Hope this Helps
