Hi guys, i have a curiosity....the dvds of tv series...what format do they generally have? How do they manage to fit so many episodes into 1 normal dvd...i am planning to make make my own dvd of a famous tv series called Rebelde, but i can only manage to fit 3 episodes on dvd....even if i used a DL, i cud only managed to fit twice as much....While the ppl who r selling the pirated dvds manage to fit abt 10-11 episodes into 1 dvd(420 episodes into 38 dvds)...just wondering how did they do that w/o compromising the quality??? Any ideas???

Thanx for all the help!

No idea on your other questions but commrcial DVD (DVD 10) holds about 8.7 G of data as opposed to regular DVD (DVD 5) which holds 4.37 G. You can also use Dual Layer (DVD 9) at 7.95 G if your burner supports them. And they are using encoders worth umpteen thousand dollars. Probably, pirates too. 3 - 4 1 hour episodes on a regular DVD is about right to maintain quality.

Verbatim DL seem to be the most recommended and be careful as some writers don't support the - format.
