if your talking about the downgrader the first thing u need to check and see is if you have a ta-082 motherboard. check this link and compare it with your psp.

if you dont have one of these then proceed on. download this file here
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/755
that file copies all the files to your psp for the downgrade to work and it walks u thru the process onscreen on ur pc. anymore questions just ask :)

The screen turned red once and it didnt work, so i tried it again, and it still didnt work. Do you know what to do?

keep trying it, it only works on average once out of 10 times, trust me, this is normal.

ok thanks both of you. ill post if anything else goes wrong. by the way, there was only a red screen the first time, the rest of the times there wasnt.
