just want to say thanks to this forum, helps alot. My problem is with winlpc, it will not reconize the device. Tried every thing. (battery,different comp, ect..) nothing is work. Help please.

I had the same problem, squeeze the chip at the programmer points, hold it there and it will recognize it

well my port is set at 378. Im not sure of what the offset should be. I tried squeezing, no luck.

Also what mode should the matrix be on, and is easier with windows 98, 2k, or xp?

If you have XP, you'll probably need to load "GiveIO Driver" to get it to read. As far as mode, both switches "on" or mode 1 (test/disable) to program & install, then switch out of mode 1 to use it. I run switch 1 "off", switch 2 "on" or mode 2 (always on) mainly because i'm not sure how the other modes work.

i had the exact same issue and it turned out to be a bad chip. i do have an extra programmer that i know is good, maybe i can send it to you and see if your programmer is faulty, or you could send me the chip and i can try and flash it for you. seamonkey did this for me, so i figure it's time i return the favor.

well i have giveIO installed, and have also tried wmilk neither will reconize it. Thanks for the offer but i will probaly send it all back if it doesn't work after i try a couple more things. Should offset be set at FC00000?
