Sony DVD+R 8x I'm going to be using it for PS2 games and movie backup, i want to try another media because the media i am currently using seems to get a LOT of dust on it and makes blotches on the dye, is the Sony media any better? I'm not asking you to compare this media to TY's I'm just asking if it's good in general.

check out the official media thread. I've heard mixed reviews for sony media so I can't give you a defenative answer and I've never used them myself so I can't draw from personal experience.

ah, they updated the media ID codes, it was outdated for a while, yep the sonyD11 is rated 1st class media thats good :)

Actually its great media just remember to use the dash discs for backing up games tp be played on Playstation 2 (the lasers hate + discs for games for some reason).
