Hi,
I just backed up my god of war for PS2. I did a straight copy from DVD-9 to DVD-9 on a Verbitim Dual Layer DVD+R (Book typed to DVD-ROM). The game playes flawlessly until about half way, after you fight the sirens, when you jump on and climb the Titan. Either it will freeze at the save screen, or if you skip it, it freezes at the last load screen.
Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
I have the Matrix Infinity (Green Dot) Mod chip, which is only a few months old.... and was told a straight copy should work.
Please Help.......

Anyone.......
Yes I searched before I posted. The "Official" God of war thread brings this up, but the responses are confusing (especially trying to get through 47 pages of other questions).
Any help would be appreciated.

If im not mistaking, in God Of War, there is a scene that takes 15 minutes to load, no matter what it is your playing, burned, original, downloaded. Doesnt matter, it hangs for 15 minutes or so.

Hi, Im trying to backup copy the same game (God of war), from a DVD-9 to Verbatim's 1 sided DVD+R DL(DVD-9). What program should I use for this? My burner supports dual layer dvds and i have alcohol120% with infinity v1.88 mod on my ps2 v16?
Thanks in advance

Ampeeri, you and I are trying to do the same thing. Just set your burner to DVD-9 media and away you go.
pzych0, I have played the whole game through and I never came accross a scene that took that long to load. I also left it for an hour and nothing happened. I had also tryed to save before the scene it freezes at and the save screen also froze.
I have come accross other people that had this issue.... they just said but the PS2 on the vertical and it sometimes works..... but nobody has given an answer to a fix.

you need to patch the DVD-9 image with toxic's dual layer image patcher, otherwise it wont read the second layer.
sorry, but you have wasted a disk

Thank you. That is all I needed. I won't cry over a $1.20 disk.

no worries
just patch the image first, then burn it,it should work.
never tried it myself,as my old chunk of a chip dont boot DVD-9.
just to add, there are some chips available that dont need the patch
good luck

Toxic Patch worked like a charm. Even burnt it off my backup.
Thanks again.
