weird problems with divx3 low motion playback

i recently dled a few movies that were encoded in "dvx3 low motion"

out of 4 that i have, only two will play in windows media 10. they will all play in real player. one of the ones that wont play has vbr audio, but the other one has constant audio. the one with constant audio seems to be encoded exactly the same way as the other two that work. GSpot says i have all the codecs installed. what the hell is wrong with my computer and/or me?
