I do not understand what is going on and i need help.

I had downloaded some shows (AVI format mostly) and converted them to a dvd format to be able to be read in my xbox 360 and those worked fine. They also worked fine in a regular dvd.

recently i downloaded some regular stuff and converted them with suder dvd creator 9.0 everything was fine for the conversion and the burn to the DVD+R disk but when i try to play the burned dvd in my xbox 360 now it says reading for a while then says open tray and the movie does not want to start. I burned the file with Nero vision express to see if it was an issue with the conversion software but it does the same..my xbox 360 does not want to read burned dvd's anymore.the weird thing is that it reads the older burned dvd's i made a while ago but not the new ones i am making.......x box360 still works fine with commercial dvd's..anyone got a clue as to what might be going on?

need help...

thanks

the cd i used was maxell and the dvd with the file that is owrking is the maxell one.

The files i am trying to burn is on fujifilm.
I again tried to burn my file in the last few hours with another dvd authoring software but still the same results.

I tought about the cause of my problems would be the dvd brand i am using but it seemed foolish.... could it be that fujifilm dvd's are worth crap and that only specific brands work in the dvd drive of the 360.

If it is only a brand thing it is not a big issue then it tought that it might have been a codec issue within the 360..but it seemed foolish since the conversion to AVI turns it to an mpeg file wich should be compatible...

let me know and i will try to use a maxell dvd just to check if it is a brand issue.

peace

Thats what it most likely is, the brand of dvd u are using, certain types of media work better and are more compatibile with dvd players.

Now those fujis u said u used are made by different manufactors, One being very good and the other being crap, so if they were made in Japan then they are the best, if they were made in Tawian they are not that good, the same thing is true about the Maxell media too.

also u can try Verbatims which are the only media that is made in taiwan that is any good.

it's kinda weird that my burned dvd are not working because it was a dvd spool and i can say that out of the spool i got maybe one coaster so far...usually in my opinion the fuji's are not bad at all for data back up ..i stay away from memorex and the staples brand dvd wich are absolute caca media..but i never would have tought that fuji was not that good.

I grab what i can find at the best price while staying away from what i mentionned above..as soon as i can afford it. i will buy some verbatim or sony's, or maxell unless somebody else as other suggestions to give to me.

peace!
