hi

I'm having major problems playing back subtitles that I've ripped myself. I'm creating XviD avi's using SmartRipper and at the same time creating .sub subtitle files. I've also tried using SubRip to make .srt files direct from the ripped dvd files. Using BSplayer Pro neither of the files work - it won't load them. Also tried using VLC player, same deal. I've downloaded some srt subs for one of the movies i want to rip and they work just fine.. when i look in notepad I can see no difference (apart from a time shift) on between the two srt files.

Am i doing something really wrong?? do i need some codec or something? I tried installing VobSub in case that had something to do with it but that didn't help at all.
