OK i have a amd athlon and on the mobo you can change the fsb to 133
my fsb is 100 i was wondering if this is safe with out burning the cpu
also i dont have stock cooling its some off brand the mobo is a ecs
and the socket is 462

Ok first of all try the overclocking thread. Second of all you can change it. Im not saying it would definatly not fry your board. But its unlikely. Most motherboards have controls which when a cpu gets above an "unhealthy" temp switches the pc off!

Soo your pretty safe. The trick of a great overclocked is to raise everything bit by bit. And benchamrking. It takes time but if you can hit a sweet spot its definatly worth it. Also try upping some Vcore. But be carefull with that! You cna fry your board a lot easier if your gonna up the vcore too much!
