I recently had some problems when reinstalling Windows xp and instead of doing a clean install I just upgraded to sp2 this however left me with the remains of the initial attempt at reinstalling floating about on my HD. Now when I boot up I am give a choice of os's to run (both xp). I would like to get rid of the failed attempt but can't seem to work out how, any ideas?

Thanks for the reply, that seems a bit too much at the minute but I will keep that in mind for the future. Thanks.

Ermm its a bit of a long shot but if you were prepared to you could migrate your OS. To a spare HDD then format your drive and put it back!
