How do you use subs with VLC...

I used to the open file menu and opened the subs and the movie but when I look at the movie no subs.

I went into track and there was two english ones and 4 other languages is that the reason why it isnt working?

I have a AVI movie and a idx subs.

And your settings looks like this:



X in Autodetect subtitle files and give Subtitle autodetection fuzziness value 3.
After that is should be enought that video and subtitle are in same folder with same name.
Like movie.avi and movie..sub (or .srt .idx or .ssa)

It might be a good idea to convert that idx to srt:
