Here are a few questions
1) changing the system file for PAL
VMODE= PAL is this correct
2) Volume DISC name for PAL is this SLUS***** or SLES53501 or something else. The same for Licence Area pick EUROPE or AMERICA for PAL ??

it's alive alive, the pal version is working, as i had some trouble i will give in here an explenation of how to.
Follow the instructions which are set in the first reply.
1) first set is easy make an image file with dvd decrypter the image size must be 4.587.286 KB
2)Open the game with apache and extract it to the desktop. Normally you will have a folder 1_01 with alll the subfolders and files.
You don't need the folder 1_01 (this is was doing wrong)
Cut all files from this folder and put them onto your desktop
Change the system file the settings for PAL are the following.
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SWBFRNT2.ELF;1
VER = 1.01
VMODE = PAL
After you changed double check if everything is changed in this file
3) Open cddvdgen and follow the instructions of the first reply
which means new project --> dvd-rom master disc.
Now comes the tricky part for me, how the fuck do you get these file in the right order (i tried always with put directory --> this is the wrong way) just click on the files on your desktop and drag then into the folder list on cddvdgen (as simple as that). Now the order in which the files are set is the following.
DATA
CNF
IRX
LICENSE
NETGUI
NETIRX
LOADERE.ELF
SLES_535.01
SWBFRNT2.ELF
SYSTEM.CNF
DO NOT INCLUDE the folder 1_01 with contains the the folders above, under the disc icon you have these maps and files above no other.
DISC NAME = SLES 53501
Producer Name = PLAYSTATION
License AREA = EUROPE
then export the iml file
4) import the iml file in apache and build the iso file
burn it on a DVD -R at maximum 4 speed
I hope that all the people who had problems with the game (PAL) version, now will succeed, if not contact me
PS after building the new ISO file the image size must be 4.059.824 KB
The steps in the first post worked like a charm, first try.
One thing that I see people having trouble with, is when you open notepad and look for the system file(which some of you seem to have trouble finding) - make sure notepad is looking in the folder for all file types, and not just text documents(which may be its default setting). If you do that, the system file will be right there in plain view.
just wanted to add that if u dl it (be it e.g. .mdf just like in my case) you can skip the first step with dvd decryptor. i used apache to extract all the files directly from the alcohol's virtual drive (apache hanged up while trying to open dvddecryptor-made .iso). then followed the next steps (edit system.cnf, drag'n'drop dirs/files to cdvdgen, save .iml, import .iml to apache, build .iso with apache and use winhiip to put it on 40gigs maxtor)
