it wont show up you have to create it and i can't help you with your router as i don't own a '2WIRE 1701HG Gateway'

nope, I've looked over the port forwarding section on your router but it doesn't have enough about the setup features for exceptions on the firewall. you'd be better off posting a new topic in the hardware forums.

just to check things and make sure, i'd hook the PS2 directly to your modem, reboot the modem and then see if you can connect. if so you'll then know it's in the router, if not then a modem issue.

still didnt work, I forgot to mention, my router is my modem o.o I use a multi-ported modem that serves as a router as well >_<

i cant say for sure about your setup but some routers just aren't compatible with game consoles. on the PS2 i can't host unless i turn on UPNP and Gaming modes and XBOX Live requires spoofing the MAC address of the box.

some 1 help me, i have metal gear solid subsistance and i cant get it to work on my swap magic 3.6.My metal gear solid is NTSC and im using sony dvd -r 1x-8x. All i get after busted it was a black screen.

burn the game at 2X with a different media.

as far as i know there is no patch for this game.
as of media try using the Verbatim.
