It might be too big. The PSP can only handle flash files that are under 10MB (i think). Also, do you have flash enabled in the Browser Settings Menu? The settings might have changed when you re-copied the firmware.

Duh!
I have just done the stupidist thing going!!!!!!
Wi-Fi does NOT work at 333MHz! thats why i could not reconnected to the site, i wonder if it also affects the browser? As soon as my PSP is playing fair will try at 222MHz. Hopefully thats the only problem.

Yeah, didn't you know that!

Thats only for firmware 2.6 and above tho (I think) and 2.5 works at 33MHz.

Hi,

I've got version 1.50 Firmware, I downloaded Chaos Zero Devhook 0.44 and put the dh folder into the root of the PSP and the put the GAME, PHOTO and SYSTEM folders where the readme told me to but i still cannot get any games to load off it.

I have tried Tekken, GTA (which works with UMDEmulator and MPHLoader) and Tiger Woods (which works with UMDEmulator) but none of these games seem to work.

The settings i have in Devhook are:

I select my UMD
UMD Mount - ISO ANYUMD
UMD Version - 2.xx->2.00
Firmware - 2.60
CPU - 333/166
Boot Select - reboot XMB

After that the PSP is constantly reading from the memory stick but the screen stays black. If i use Tiger Woods i get to the nice anime slideshow screens but i then get an error saying the game could not load.

Am i missing anything out?

Thanks

Well I am not possitive about Chaos' Devhook package, but I thought it only came with firmware 2.71

Try loading the UMD with firmware 2.71 and see it that works.

If not, check to see you have all the proper firmware files in the DH folder

This would be my name but its 10 letters long and AD only allows 9 :P

Thanks for the reply Erickix :)

The only options for Firmware i have are 1.50, 2.00, 2.50 and 2.60. In the DH folder, the subfolders are 150, 150F, 200, 250, 260 and kd.

Does it matter which UMD i am putting in? I have Wipeout in at the moment.

It shouldn't

I am using wipeout pure as my loader also (you can use the sample disk too if u want, just needs to be a 1.5 game)

I suggest going to http://www.psp-hacks.com and download the devhook v.44 full file

It contains everything you need to run your PSP in 2.71 firmware, and with it I have yet to have any problems.

*edit*
I believe the games your running require .prx file fixes in order to run in firmware 2.60 but that problem wont be there with the 2.71 firmware.

I'll do that now mate :)

Do the ISO's have to be untouched? As i think my Tekken may have had the FMV taken out of it to reduce size. Would that be a problem?

*shrug* maybe im not too sure. But the .iso should work with devhook without a problem. You can also use the compressor that comes with devhook and convert the iso into cso. That will save alittle space

I downloaded the .44 package and it comes with MS root and all the stuff, but what do I do with the tool folder? I didn't have one of these for my older version dev hook. Just wondering if i'll need it or not...

bah no luck :(

Deleted all traces of DevHook from my PSP and then installed the 0.44 from the Installer.

I change the firmware in the devhook options to 2.71 and after selecting start the memory stick loads for 5 - 10 secs and then I just get a black screen.

so what is the different between ver .43 and .44?
What is the capability list for DEVHOOK?
Is it the best loader for firmware v1.5 right now?
I also need a full loaded DEVHOOK 0.44 if someone can give the links.

.44 can emulate firmware 2.71 as .43 can emulate up to 2.6. The capabilities of it are being able to emulate newer firmware versions on a 1.5 psp. You can also load .iso files and UMD's that require a higher firmware version then 1.5.

Yes that is everyone waiting for.
But I read somewhere, they said some games will work and some won't. So do you know where is the list.
