The audio sounds like it is in fast forward? What is the source, Blu-ray, or MKV/M2TS?

Is the DTS audio the only audio stream in the M2TS file, or are there other audio streams too. Are you trying to demux directly from the main movie M2TS file? It is possible you are grabbing the wrong audio stream.

the dts audio stream is from a .m2ts main movie file extracted from a bluray movie folder. i fixed it using clown bd to extract the .dts bt not sure why it worked that way and not with the eac3to in command prompt window

Can anybody see anything going wrong in this log? No matter what setting or profile I use the encoding stops at 45.11% on the 1st pass. I'm using megui 3.1.1061. I've used every profile. I appreciate any insight.

Looks like something is conflicting with Roxio maybe? Seems like every error there is in the Roxio directory. I suggest uninstalling MeGUI and re-install. If that doesn't work, the un-install all programs that invloved in the re-encoding process, the re-install them.
AVISynth
MeGUI
and whatever codec pack you have installed.

odin24 thanks for the suggestion. I've uninstalled megui so many times and reinstalled and switched versions it is'nt funny. I've noticed Roxio showing its head alot. I did'nt know what to make of it cause Roxio is'nt in the file set. I thnk this version of Roxio has a media file manger in it. Perhaps I need to stop the Roxio service while encoding? I have'nt had to in the past, but we know how that goes. Thanks again I'll try another uninstall and if it does'nt help I'll stop roxio.

uninstall and reinstall did'nt help. Roxio was already stopped. looking back at the logs I noticed it seems Megui is looking in roxio for Certificates. Not roxio forcing Certificates. Why would Megui be pointed to roxio for anything? I'm only having trouble w/ files that are vc-1 coded and or 1920x1080. Again looking at the log I seen where the hieght and width was A problem. I tried a m2st file on the disc that was'nt vc-1 and was 720x480 and tried it. Actually raised the resultion to 1280x720 and had a sucessive encode. I guess I'm going to have to uninstall Roxio.

It may be calling on Roxio for whatever reason to decode VC-1. Make sure FFDshow is set up to have WMV9 decode VC-1.

Go to the "Video Config" (or Settings) and set it there.

odin24 I'll really appreciate your help. I've gone thru the the video encoder and decoder config several times and have not found the vc-1 codec. I even whent thru the installion and config tutural pages. In the tutural screenshots there is a vc-1 configeration. Not in the version I have. which is 1.0.0.610. I know I'm missing something.

I've had a slew of problems since getting ffdshow configured. I have fixed everything but this one. Is it telling me x264 cant acess the cpu? I know my cpu has these capabilities. I cant figure this one out.

Not sure what's going on there... just make sure x264.exe is in the proper directory, and MeUI is configured to look there... other than that, I'm not sure what the issue is.

Is'nt these {C:\Program Files\megui\tools\x264\x264.exe} where megui is calling up x264? This is where its at. Still does'nt work. I just found in appdata a folder that has all the configs of the program. I had a few of them. lol. So I uninstalled and deleted the folder and reinstalled megui and still no good. Thanks for the help though.

Well this has been very fustrating to say the least. I got it fixed and going. Powerpoint was stopping x264. Or atleast I think. I had noticed power point 2007 had been reinstalled so I uninstalled it and Ive encoded a test strip fine. I had some issue w/ ffdshow and the vista codec pack I had last installed. I kept haveing problems with getting a picture in avisynth, no matter how I configured ffdshow. At my last breath I uninstalled ffdshow and installed the k-lite pack. Now everything is back in order. Thanks odine24 for pitching in.

This sure was a sight for sore eyes when i got up.

I noticed over several posts in this thread yall talked about upgrading your systems and seemed the base line was the cpus for the inprovements. Mainly the advantage of Quadcores. Not much success credited to ram. I interested in the gains of a well configured hdd and controller. I've had my eye on an alien m17x w/ a ssd. I'm afraid that ms has'nt gotten motivated yet to get windows capatible w/ ssd quite yet. I'm thinking a good controller interfacing around 500gbs spinning over 7200 rpms would do a bang up.

Are you up and running? What problems are you having w/ ryu"s profiles. The common problem w/ his profiles is you have to put the profiles in the x264 profile folder in the megui folder, and the 1st time you use a profile you have to point where to write the stat log.
Myself I think the The tutorial here is much better. The one you linked to shows you how to do 1 task. Besides that just about everything in that tutorial has been laid out in the one here. For the life of me I cant remember how to spell the guys name that wrote this one, but to me he did a super job in what he set out to do. Which is he gave back to all of us which was enlighten to him. In his tutorial he lays out a skill set that allows you to multitask thru a range of video formats. This thread is a great thread to gain gobs of information.
Its alittle easier to help you out if you post your actual problem.
