Hi,

I have the Oppo OPDV971H upconverting dvd player. I'm using it with my Panasonic TC-26LX60 HD TV. Connected via the supplied DVI to HDMI cable. The problem I'm having is I can't get rid of the black bars on dvds.

I've tried both the widescreen and widescreen/squeeze setting on the dvd player. I've also used the different aspect ratio settings on my tv. I can get rid of the black bars using the zoom function on the dvd player, but that results in the loss of some of the picture.

My question is, how can I fix this? Or is this normal? Isn't 3:2 pulldown processing supposed to take care of this.
