hello everbody,

this is my first thread in afterdawn.com,i found this site very useful,u guys hav done a great job.now my question is that can we convert the AVI to rmvb,my motive is to convert three AVI files each of size 700mb to rmvb files and not compromising on quality and merge them to a single file of round about 850mb.

Each to their own, but if you are not wanting to compromise on quality, then I would suggest avoiding rmvb, let alone re-encoding like that. That said you can use Helix Producer. Plenty of GUI's available to; AutoRV9, RealAnime, etc.

Really though you are posting in the wrong forum. This is the DivX/XviD forum, not the real video forum. I guess "General video discussion" would be the correct place?

-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.
