tell me if this is possible:
i connect my xbox to my computer via FTP. I put a game in the xbox tray. Open up my FTP software and copy all the game files to mi computer hardrive. Is it possible to burn that xbox game files onto a DVD-R (im guessing not) since its over 4.7gigs. But is it possible to use burned games i download on my softmodded xbox

Don't use a normal FTP program as it can take forever to transfer.

Install Avalaunch as an application and use Quix to transfer the games to your PC instead of an FTP client. If the game is too large for a DVD-R, extract it and go to balugabutt.com to find out what files you'd have to delete for it for fit. Then, create a new iso using Quix and burn the iso using ImgBurn.

And yes, burned games will work on a softmodded Xbox.

Thanks goes out to theridges for the userbars :)
